Alison Bown is a video game, film and audio book sound designer. She holds a PhD in cognition, metaphor and the sonic aspects of mental imagery. Current research is into the use of movement as a compositional process.

She is also an electronic music nerd and an avid student of biomechanics and the way we move.

She was nominated for a SOVA award for best sound design and engineering for her work on Audibles production of Far Cry. She is currently writing music for experimental animations.
